Vyacheslav Gladkov, the governor of Russia’s Belgorod region, has announced the death of one person and injuries to several others following a Ukrainian artillery strike on the region.
According to RT, Gladkov stated, “Regrettably, one person in Belgorod was killed while driving his car when a shell exploded nearby.” He added that one of the shells fell on a residential building, resulting in a man being injured by shrapnel.
Gladkov also mentioned that seven other individuals were injured at a car market, with four of them being hospitalized.
Earlier today, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that their air defense systems intercepted 17 Ukrainian Vilkha rockets over the Belgorod region.
Last Saturday, the city of Belgorod was targeted with a barrage of rockets and cluster bombs in what was described as a random attack. This incident resulted in the death of 24 civilians and injuries to more than 100 others.
