A total of 15 Palestinians were killed in the early hours of Sunday following Israeli airstrikes on two homes in the Al-Nusseirat refugee camp and Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip.
The Palestinian news agency reported the death of 13 people in an airstrike on a house belonging to the Zahd family in the central Gaza Strip’s Al-Nusseirat camp.
Additionally, a woman and her daughter were killed and several others were injured following an attack on a home near the European Hospital in southeastern Khan Younis. These events mark a significant increase in the ongoing tension and conflict in the region.
In a related development, the agency also reported that the Israeli military killed two Palestinians during incursion operations in the occupied West Bank early Sunday. Furthermore, Israeli forces stormed the Balata refugee camp east of Nablus.
Local sources indicated that Israeli forces, accompanied by military bulldozers, entered Balata and engaged in violent confrontations with the camp’s residents.
Israeli snipers were also reported to have taken positions on the rooftops of several buildings and houses in the area.
This latest series of events underscores the growing volatility in the region and the dire consequences for civilians caught in the crossfire.
The loss of life, particularly of women and children, in these airstrikes has drawn attention to the escalating humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the occupied territories. The international community continues to call for restraint and a de-escalation of tensions to prevent further loss of innocent lives.
