Saudi authorities have successfully apprehended over 16,000 violators of residence, labor, and border security regulations across the kingdom within a week, with security agencies deporting 15,500 violators.
During the week, security agencies deported 15,500 individuals who violated residence, labor, and border security regulations, as part of joint field campaigns to monitor and apprehend violators.
These efforts resulted in the apprehension of over 16,000 individuals.
In a statement released on Saturday, the Ministry of Interior stated that among the apprehended, about 10,000 violated residence regulations, 3,900 violated border security regulations, and 2,100 violated labor regulations.
The ministry further detailed that 1,047 individuals were apprehended while attempting to illegally cross the kingdom’s borders, with 34 individuals caught attempting to leave the kingdom illegally.
Additionally, 17 individuals were involved in transporting, sheltering, and employing violators of residence, labor, and border security regulations, as well as aiding their concealment.
Currently, 44,000 violators are undergoing legal procedures, including 42,200 men and 1,800 women.
Furthermore, 36,000 violators have been referred to their diplomatic missions to obtain travel documents, while 1,600 violators have been referred to complete their travel reservations.
The Ministry of Interior emphasized that anyone facilitating the entry, transportation, sheltering, or provision of assistance to violators of border security regulations risks imprisonment for up to 15 years, a fine of up to one million Saudi riyals, confiscation of the means of transportation and accommodation used for sheltering, as well as public humiliation.
