In a steadfast commitment to aiding the Palestinian people in Gaza, Saudi Arabia has launched its 20th relief plane, a joint effort by the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid (KSrelief) and the Ministry of Defense. Departing for El-Arish International Airport in Egypt on Sunday, this mission aims to deliver vital medical and humanitarian assistance to those in need.
The aircraft is carrying an essential cargo of 39 tonnes of medical supplies and humanitarian aid, strategically coordinated for sequential distribution to address the pressing needs of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. This initiative underscores Saudi Arabia’s unwavering dedication to supporting the Palestinian population in times of crisis.
Recognizing the significance of international collaboration, Egypt has designated El-Arish International Airport in North Sinai as a central hub for receiving and facilitating the transfer of humanitarian assistance destined for Gaza. El-Arish, situated approximately 50km west of the Rafah border crossing, the primary entry point between the Gaza Strip and Egypt, serves as a crucial logistical center for efficiently distributing aid to the affected population.
The Saudi relief planes exemplify a robust response to humanitarian crises, showcasing the nation’s commitment to alleviating the suffering of those facing adversity. As the 20th plane embarks on its mission, it stands as a testament to Saudi Arabia’s ongoing support for the well-being of the Palestinian people.
