Under the noble patronage of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the third edition of the International Cybersecurity Forum is set to commence on the coming Wednesday in Riyadh. The event, orchestrated by the National Cybersecurity Authority in collaboration with its technical arm, Saudi Information Technology Company (SITE), is themed “Drawing Joint Priorities in Cyberspace.”
Spanning over the 1st and 2nd of November, the forum will host a myriad of decision-makers, CEOs from relevant international organizations, alongside a cadre of high-level speakers representing various governmental and academic sectors, alongside notable global companies from over 120 countries.
The forum will feature a number of specialized knowledge groups addressing the latest cyberspace issues in vital sectors, including supply chains, smart cities, and the future of cyberspace. The aim is to heighten awareness and envisage holistic solutions built on integrated efforts between nations and various entities in both public and private sectors.
Moreover, the forum will witness the launch of several international initiatives and projects, with various local and international entities signing a slew of agreements to bolster international cooperation in tackling pressing issues in cyberspace. This step aims to enhance cybersecurity as an enabling element to confront future challenges, contributing to economic and social development both in the Kingdom and globally.
The discussions and sessions during the forum will culminate in drawing joint priorities in cyberspace, focusing on five sub-themes: cyberspace stability, growth in cyberspace, cyber gaps, cyber mindset, and future developments in cybersecurity.
By emphasizing these priorities, the International Cybersecurity Forum seeks to foster ongoing dialogue among various stakeholders, support related projects over the coming months, and solidify the concept of international cooperation and partnership. The objective is to leverage cybersecurity to stimulate development, propel human prosperity, and enhance Saudi Arabia’s leading position globally in this pivotal and promising sector, especially given the regional and global achievements of the Saudi cybersecurity model, now recognized internationally as a successful and pioneering model.
The International Cybersecurity Forum has now become a global platform for decision-makers, experts, and specialists concerned with vital and strategic sector issues. It aims to broaden the horizons for knowledge transfer, experience exchange, and explore cooperation opportunities on strategic cybersecurity topics, supporting international efforts and harmonizing joint endeavors in this regard, besides stimulating social and economic development in cybersecurity aspects.
