A tragic shooting in Memphis, Tennessee, resulted in the deaths of three women and a 13-year-old girl.
The suspect, Mavis Christian Junior, 52, was later found dead on Sunday from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, ending a police manhunt.
Memphis Police Department announced the discovery of Christian’s body near the crime scene, inside a white Chevrolet Malibu.
Investigators had been searching for Christian in connection with the fatal shooting of a woman on Saturday evening.
The American police earlier indicated that the incident stemmed from domestic violence. The suspect, known to be a relative of the victims, had fled the scene in a white Chevrolet Malibu.
Christopher Williams, a spokesperson for the Memphis Police Department, reported another shooting incident on Fieldlark Drive, which led to the deaths of a woman and a 13-year-old girl, leaving a 15-year-old girl critically injured.
Additionally, another shooting 13 miles away on Warrington Road resulted in the death of a woman.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of the victims or detailed information about their relationship with the suspect.
