The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported on Tuesday that five members of the terrorist organization ISIS responsible for car bomb explosions in eastern Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria, were killed by coalition forces.
According to the Observatory, in a press statement, “The international coalition forces, accompanied by anti-terrorism forces of the Syrian Democratic Forces, carried out an early morning airborne operation targeting a house in the village of Al-Dahla within areas controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.”
It added, “Fierce armed clashes erupted between the raiding forces and members of ISIS cells holed up inside, resulting in the killing of five ISIS members responsible for car bomb operations in the region.”
The Observatory noted that on May 19, two ISIS leaders were arrested in an airborne operation conducted by the international coalition forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces in the town of Um Gharbah in the northern countryside of Deir ez-Zor near the Syrian-Iraqi borders, coinciding with a security cordon and the deployment of forces.
According to the Observatory, “The international coalition forces continue their security operations to pursue ISIS remnants following their increased activity and attacks within Syrian territories.”
