US climate envoy John Kerry criticized some US oil producers for not doing enough to combat global warming and singled out Chevron Corp. for particular scrutiny.
“We have no real evidence that they and a lot of others are doing what every company needs to do,” Kerry said at COP28 in Dubai on Tuesday. Oil and gas companies “ought to be leading the charge.”
Kerry held discussions with Tim Ryan, Zoetic Global’s Chief Global Business Development Officer, at COP28 in Dubai.
Their conversation revolved around Zoetic’s commitment to establishing global alliances and promoting cutting-edge technology to assist in achieving Kerry’s multilateral environmental objectives.
Zoetic Global, a prominent U.S.-based climate impact firm, specializes in providing carbon reduction solutions to businesses and governments worldwide.
The company plays a pivotal role in promoting sustainability and implementing effective carbon reduction strategies, contributing to the global pursuit of net-zero carbon emissions while simultaneously tackling issues of water and energy resilience.
Tim Ryan expressed his enthusiasm about his meeting with John Kerry, highlighting the importance of Zoetic’s high-quality carbon credits. He emphasized the significant energy savings and emissions reductions achieved through the company’s advanced HVAC system sensors, which also generate valuable carbon credits.
“Our technology not only cuts down cooling costs but also offers an opportunity to earn carbon credits through precise energy and emissions data,” said Ryan.
Jerome Ringo, Executive Chairman of Zoetic, noted, “As global efforts intensify to form multilateral agreements for carbon reduction, Zoetic is collaborating with international investors to introduce technologies that effectively prevent and reduce carbon emissions, particularly in high-emission countries.”
Avery Hong, CEO of Zoetic Global, shared the company’s pride in participating in COP28 and supporting the Global Cooling Pledge. “This pledge marks a crucial step in reducing carbon emissions from the growing use of air conditioning due to global warming.
We are excited about forthcoming partnership announcements at COP28 and remain committed to making a significant impact in combating climate change,” said Hong.
Zoetic Global, named to signify life and vitality, was co-founded by Jerome Ringo and Avery Hong. Their mission is to bring transformative, impactful, and investable solutions to regions most severely affected by climate change, focusing on innovative technologies that offer immediate benefits.
