Turkey’s Defense Minister Yaşar Güler has announced that Turkey is currently providing military training and advisory activities to more than 15,000 Libyans.
Güler mentioned during a meeting with representatives of the press and television channels that there are strong historical bonds of friendship and brotherhood between Turkey and Libya, which have strengthened significantly in recent years.
He highlighted Turkey’s support in providing healthcare to approximately 37,000 people in Libya as part of their goal to ensure regional security and political unity in Libya.
He emphasized Turkey’s desire to contribute to a unified Libya living in peace, tranquility, and stability.
Güler also mentioned that Turkey was the first country to offer assistance to Libya after the disaster of Hurricane Daniel, providing necessary aircraft and ships.
This assistance played a significant role in developing relations with eastern Libya and enhancing Libyan unity.
