The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has called on the Security Council to take responsibility and compel Israel to comply with the rulings of the International Court of Justice.
The ministry stated that Israel continues its genocide against civilians through mass massacres with brutal bombings or by killing them in the streets in central and southern Gaza Strip areas.
It added that Israel is committing more massacres against civilians and preventing the entry of aid, ignoring the decisions of the International Court of Justice, as reported by Cairo News.
The Palestinian national forces announced a general strike in the city of Jenin to mourn the martyrs killed by the occupation during its raid on Ibn Sina Hospital.
An Israeli occupation force disguised as doctors and civilians assassinated three young men in Jenin Hospital.
The lawsuit against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) was initiated by South Africa, alleging that Israel is responsible for violations of the Genocide Convention in relation to its actions in Gaza. The case has garnered attention for its significant implications and the serious nature of the allegations. The ICJ has issued provisional measures, which are interim orders given before the final judgment, in response to South Africa’s request. These measures include obligations for Israel to take all necessary steps to prevent genocide against Palestinians in Gaza, ensure that military forces refrain from acts that could constitute genocide, and take immediate measures to facilitate the provision of humanitarian aid to Gaza. Furthermore, Israel is required to prevent and punish any direct and public incitement to commit genocide and to preserve evidence related to allegations of acts contrary to the Genocide Convention. The court also ordered Israel to report back within one month on the measures it has taken to comply with the order.
