Early Thursday, Palestinian media reported that Israeli forces launched a series of heavy airstrikes on Khan Yunis, located in the southern Gaza Strip, while one Israeli was killed and seven others were wounded in a shooting near the Ma’ale Adumim settlement surrounding Jerusalem.
The media coverage detailed that areas in Khan Yunis were subjected to intense artillery shelling, with the sound of successive explosions heard in the city’s southwestern regions.
Israeli forces were reported to have demolished several homes in the city center, resulting in thick plumes of smoke.
Additionally, Palestinian media sources stated that Israeli forces bombarded the central region of Gaza, focusing particularly on the Nuseirat refugee camp.
This was followed by extensive reconnaissance drone activity over the camp’s airspace.
Israeli military vehicles also targeted a house belonging to the Yusuf family in Rafah, located in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, three citizens were killed and others injured in airstrikes carried out by Israeli warplanes, targeting two homes in Rafah.
Local sources indicated that the strikes targeted homes in the Al-Juneina neighborhood, Al-Shabura refugee camp, and the Mashrou’ area in Rafah city, resulting in three deaths and several injuries.
The Israeli airstrikes also destroyed the Al-Farouq Mosque in the Al-Shabura refugee camp in Rafah city.
In the West Bank, Israeli sources reported the death of one of the eight individuals wounded in a shooting operation near the Ma’ale Adumim settlement in the vicinity of Jerusalem.
Later on, the Israeli army radio announced that the two gunmen who attacked the Ma’ale Adumim settlement were killed. Our correspondent noted that a third gunman involved in the operation was also killed.
Overnight, Israeli forces conducted several raids in various parts of the West Bank, as reported by WAFA.
The Israeli forces stormed residential buildings in Tulkarm, carried out search and combing operations, and deployed snipers in the area.
They also entered several towns in Ramallah and arrested numerous individuals, including a woman.
Additionally, an Israeli military unit raided the Aqabat Jaber camp in Jericho, detaining two residents of the camp.
