United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres stated that the Israeli military campaign has brought destruction and death to the Gaza Strip after six months of conflict.
In statements broadcasted by Cairo News Channel, Guterres highlighted the dire situation in Gaza, stating, “The foundations of life in Gaza have been shattered, and children are dying due to a lack of food and water. There is no justification for the collective punishment of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.”
Israeli forces continue to launch hundreds of airstrikes and artillery shelling across the Gaza Strip, committing mass killings against civilians and horrendous crimes in the areas of incursion, amidst a catastrophic humanitarian situation due to the blockade and the displacement of over 90% of the population.
Israeli aircraft have destroyed entire residential blocks in the Gaza Strip as part of a policy of total destruction waged by the occupation in its ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip.
Thousands of victims and injured individuals remain buried under the rubble, unextracted due to the ongoing bombing and the perilous field conditions, amid a stifling siege on the sector and strict restrictions on the entry of fuel and vital urgent aid to alleviate the disastrous humanitarian conditions.
