The United States commended the role of Moroccan King Mohammed VI in enhancing stability, security, and prosperity in the region.
In a statement issued on the occasion of the Moroccan people celebrating the 24th anniversary of His Majesty’s accession to the throne of his esteemed ancestors, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken conveyed the congratulations and warmest wishes of the US government and the American people to King Mohammed VI and the Moroccan people.
The US Secretary of State expressed, “I extend my warmest congratulations to His Majesty the King and to the Moroccan people on the Throne Day, and we thank you for being one of our oldest and closest friends.”
Blinken further emphasized that the “deep and abiding” relations between the United States and Morocco continue to serve as a “cornerstone for peace and stability for both countries and the region.”
He added, “We commend King Mohammed VI for his role in furthering regional stability, security, and prosperity as well as advancing our shared interests.”
The Secretary of State underscored the profound and historical ties between Rabat and Washington, which consistently benefit the peoples of both nations.
