Algerian Foreign Minister, Ahmed Attaf, and his Omani counterpart, Badr Al-Busaidi, stressed the need to intensify efforts to stop Israeli aggression and cease indiscriminate bombing in Gaza, ending the imposed blockade, and halting the displacement and unrestricted aid to residents.
This was highlighted during a phone call received by Attaf from Al-Busaidi, as mentioned in a statement by the Algerian Foreign Ministry.
The statement elaborated that both parties reviewed developments in the occupied Palestinian territories, especially in the Gaza Strip.
According to the statement, the ministers emphasized addressing the root causes of the conflict through reviving the peace process to ensure a fair and lasting solution, leading to an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, in line with relevant United Nations resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
