Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has urged the initiation of legal proceedings against Israel at the International Criminal Court (ICC) and international human rights organizations.
In his address at the inauguration of the new judicial year on Monday, President Tebboune stated that this step is essential to end decades of impunity for crimes committed against Palestinians.
President Tebboune questioned the state of global justice, especially for oppressed peoples, with a particular focus on Palestinians.
He remarked on the collapse of humanitarian, ethical, religious, and legal standards in occupied Palestine, as the world watches daily atrocities committed by the occupying forces against Palestinians amidst a profound global silence.
This appeal by the Algerian leader aligns with a broader call for accountability and justice in international relations and underscores the country’s stance on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
