Ehor Taboriets, the head of the regional military administration in Cherkasy, expressed his gratitude for this support.
He stated that with the assistance of the Canadian Red Cross, we have received 71 generators with various capacities for our infrastructure facilities, as well as four standard boilers.
He went on to highlight the strong partnership between the Cherkasy region and the Canadian Red Cross, emphasizing their joint successful projects, including mobile medical teams providing aid to residents in remote settlements, in-home care for those in need, and psychological and social support initiatives.
This donation comes at a crucial time when Ukraine faces various challenges, including the need for reliable sources of electricity and heating.
The electric generators will play a vital role in ensuring essential services and infrastructure can continue to function, particularly in areas that may be hard to reach.
The Canadian Red Cross’s commitment to providing assistance and support to communities in need around the world is commendable, and this contribution to Ukraine underscores their dedication to humanitarian causes.
The Cherkasy region, like many other parts of Ukraine, will greatly benefit from these generators, improving the quality of life for its residents and enhancing the region’s overall resilience.
