Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sameh Shoukry, held phone conversations on October 29th with Ayman Safadi, the Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, and Prince Faisal bin Farhan, the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs.
According to Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesperson and Director of the General Diplomacy Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, these discussions are part of Arab efforts to address the unprecedented military escalation in the Gaza Strip and ongoing attacks against Palestinian civilians.
The focus is on implementing an immediate humanitarian ceasefire to protect the lives of Palestinian brethren and alleviate the worsening humanitarian suffering of Gaza residents.
This coordination between Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia underscores their commitment to finding a peaceful resolution to the crisis and providing support to the Palestinian population in Gaza.
