Egypt and Saudi Arabia developed an extensive awareness campaign that targets Egyptians working and residing in the Kingdom, with the aim of acquainting them with their rights and obligations.
The initiative was launched in the presence of Soha Gendi, Minister of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs, and the Saudi labor attaché in Cairo, Faisal Al-Otaibi.
In a press release, Gendi highlighted that the “Know Your Rights and Feel Secure” campaign holds significant importance in terms of informing individuals about their rights and duties, as well as overcoming any challenges that Egyptian residents in the Kingdom may face.
She added that the campaign took into consideration the use of simplified language and simple animated graphics to ensure its reach to all targeted segments of the population, regardless of their cultural backgrounds and education levels, in order to achieve the desired goals.
On his part, Al-Otaibi emphasized that the primary objective of the awareness campaign is to protect Egyptians from encountering any problems related to fraudulent employment contracts and to combat any forms of human trafficking they might be exposed to.
The Saudi official also underlined that the campaign will contribute to minimizing any issues or obstacles that Egyptians may encounter, in addition to raising their awareness on how to handle any problems they might face.
This joint initiative between Egypt and Saudi Arabia reflects their commitment to secure the well-being and interests of Egyptian nationals living and working in the Kingdom.
