In a recent statement, the official spokesperson for the Egyptian Presidency, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, announced that Egypt is unwavering in its commitment to support the Palestinian people in Gaza.
This announcement came during a high-level meeting, reflecting Egypt’s ongoing efforts to alleviate the humanitarian challenges faced by Gaza residents.
According to Dr. Fahmy, the discussions included an overview of the medical support Egypt has been extending to the people of Gaza. A strategic plan has been implemented for referral hospitals, encompassing 47 hospitals across eight provinces, aimed at bolstering medical assistance in the region.
To date, over 2,200 injured individuals have been received, with more than 1,200 surgical operations performed. Additionally, comprehensive healthcare and treatment services are being offered to those passing through the Rafah border crossing.
President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi emphasized Egypt’s steadfast dedication to providing all forms of support to the Palestinian siblings from Gaza.
This commitment is part of Egypt’s broader strategy to mitigate the humanitarian impact faced by the people in the area.
The President also lauded the Egyptian healthcare sector’s noble role in supporting the Gaza population during these challenging times.
