President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, discussing ways to enhance bilateral relations.
Both leaders expressed their satisfaction with the recent momentum in cooperation between Egypt and Somalia and their eagerness to expand this cooperation across various fields, in line with the fraternal ties between the two nations.
President Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to the security, stability, and sovereignty of Somalia, and its support for Somalia in facing various security and developmental challenges.
The conversation also touched upon the situation in the Horn of Africa, with both presidents emphasizing their dedication to ensuring the security and stability of the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, which positively impacts the Horn of Africa and its people.
They underscored their rejection of any unilateral actions that could harm the region’s stability and highlighted the importance of all regional countries adhering to frameworks of cooperation to achieve stability and development for their peoples.
