President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi stated that scholars, Al-Azhar, and the Ministry of Religious Endowments are actively working to correct misconceptions about the moderate and middle path of Islam and to combat extremism and distorted ideologies.
During his speech at the Laylat al-Qadr celebration, President Sisi highlighted the religious and spiritual significance of Laylat al-Qadr as an annual occasion to reflect on the divine virtues associated with charity, loyalty, and diligent effort towards earning God’s satisfaction. He emphasized that God’s blessings and forgiveness cannot be expected without genuine effort and struggle.
President Sisi continued, emphasizing the current need for these values amidst the challenges Egypt faces today. He acknowledged the efforts of Egypt’s dedicated citizens in various fields working towards the security, elevation, and future development of the country. Furthermore, he reiterated his solidarity with the Palestinian brothers in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing Egypt’s support in their plight.
