Guido Clari, the Head of the Regional Office for North Africa and the Middle East at the European Investment Bank (EIB), has announced substantial support for Egypt in multiple sectors, aligning with Egypt’s priorities.
He revealed that the scale of cooperation with Egypt has reached €7 billion.
Clari highlighted the significant areas where the EIB is providing support this year, emphasizing critical sectors such as infrastructure, including transportation, water, energy, and food security.
Additionally, the EIB is actively involved in promoting private sector development and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises.
Guido Clari underscored the EIB’s commitment to assisting Egypt in accordance with its 2030 vision and contributing to improving the lives of Egyptians.
He also emphasized the importance of addressing climate change challenges.
Furthermore, Clari praised the success of projects financed by the EIB in collaboration with the European Union and European partners in the governorates of Alexandria and Kafr El-Sheikh, particularly in the fields of water, sewage treatment, and purification.
This collaboration highlights the EIB’s dedication to fostering sustainable development and enhancing Egypt’s economic and social infrastructure.
