Three of Harry Kane’s children were hospitalized with minor injuries following a collision involving three vehicles in Germany.
The incident occurred near Munich at 17:15 BST on Monday, where Kane, the England national team’s captain, is a player for Bayern Munich.
According to a local volunteer fire chief who spoke to the BBC, it was fortunate that there were no serious injuries. Kane’s representative assured that the children, “are fine and went to the hospital as a precautionary measure.”
The accident took place shortly after Kane had arrived in London for Bayern Munich’s Champions League quarter-final against Arsenal, as reported by the German newspaper Bild.
The Bavarian Police detailed that the collision happened on state road 2071 in Schaftlarn when a Renault, attempting to turn at a junction, crashed into a Mercedes transporting Kane’s children, who are aged three to seven.
In the accident, all nine individuals involved sustained minor injuries, with one woman needing airlift assistance to a hospital.
Daniel Buck, the chief of the Hohenschäftlarn Volunteer Fire Department, told BBC News about the extensive damage to the vehicles and the fortunate minor nature of the injuries sustained, highlighting the luck involved in avoiding serious harm. The police are currently investigating the circumstances of the crash.
Kane, who moved to Bayern Munich in 2023 after parting ways with Tottenham, shares four children with his wife Kate – Ivy, aged seven; Vivienne, five; Louis, three; and Henry, who was born in August of the previous year and was reportedly not in the vehicle during the incident.
