London, Paris, and Berlin presented a resolution to the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency on Monday, condemning Iran for its lack of cooperation with the agency.
According to a text sent by the agency to its member states, Britain, France, and Germany formally submitted a resolution against Iran to the 35-member Board of Governors for a vote this week.
The move, revealed by Reuters, follows a decision issued 18 months ago instructing Tehran to promptly comply with an investigation conducted by the UN agency regarding uranium traces found at undisclosed locations in Iran.
The Atomic Energy Agency stated Monday that Iran has yet to explain the presence of the traces found at two sites.
The agency also asserts that Iran is the only non-nuclear-armed state to enrich uranium to a high level of 60%, while continuing to accumulate stocks of this radioactive material.
