Mahmoud Basal, the spokesperson for the Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip, confirmed on Sunday that there are no medical services or humanitarian aid provided to the displaced in the northern part of the territory.
Basal stated, “We have lost 80% of our capabilities, and no one is responding to the appeals we make to international institutions.”
On the 219th day of the aggression on Gaza, disputes emerged between the military, security apparatus, and the government in Israel, with the army accusing the government of not capitalizing on operational achievements in Gaza to make political progress.
Meanwhile, the official in charge of strategic policies at the National Security Council announced his resignation due to the government’s failure to make decisions regarding the post-war period. (Al Jazeera)
The Gaza Strip, a densely populated Palestinian territory, has been subjected to numerous conflicts and wars over the years, resulting in significant humanitarian challenges.
The Civil Defense in Gaza plays a crucial role in responding to emergencies and providing assistance to civilians affected by conflicts and natural disasters.
However, the ongoing conflict and blockade have severely impacted its capabilities, hindering its ability to effectively respond to crises.
The lack of medical services and humanitarian aid exacerbates the suffering of displaced individuals, highlighting the urgent need for international assistance and support to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
