Early Thursday morning, two women were killed and several others injured as Israel’s offensive on the Gaza Strip entered its 158th day.
The conflict continues to take a heavy toll on the region’s civilian population.
It was reported that two women were killed and 12 others injured, including children and women, following an Israeli airstrike on a house in the Hassayneh area west of the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.
The Israeli military also fired artillery shells at southern areas of the Zaytoun neighborhood southeast of Gaza City.
Artillery fire targeted areas east of the Bureij and Maghazi refugee camps in central Gaza, while Israeli warplanes conducted a series of airstrikes on the northern regions of the Nuseirat camp.
During these attacks, Apache helicopters and QuadCopter drones were seen flying over the western skies of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.
Simultaneously, the central and western regions of Rafah city in southern Gaza experienced heavy artillery bombardment and intense gunfire.
According to preliminary data, since the onset of the Israeli offensive on October 7, 37,396 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza.
The conflict has also resulted in 85,523 injuries, most of them among children and women. Many victims remain trapped under the rubble or in inaccessible areas, where rescue and medical teams have been unable to reach them.
