The Palestinian Health Ministry has reported a significant increase in the death toll in Gaza, with casualties now standing at 5087 due to the ongoing Israeli aggression that began on October 7th. This follows a night of terror and panic for civilians in the beleaguered territory, as Israel conducted unprecedented airstrikes across the region, according to Cairo News.
Medical sources in Gaza have confirmed the tragic deaths of 23 civilians, including children and women, in less than 12 hours in Khan Yunis. Multiple airstrikes targeted the homes of the Abu Rashwan, Abu Daka, and Abdelghafour families in areas like Qizan al-Najjar, Abasan al-Kabira, and western regions.
The sources further revealed that another 17 civilians lost their lives, with dozens sustaining injuries, as an Israeli occupation aircraft targeted a residential apartment in the Falouja area, north of Gaza.
In Khan Yunis, five martyrs were retrieved, along with several injuries, from the home of the Abu Shahada family, which was struck by Israeli warplanes to the south.
In the city of Rafah, a woman lost her life, and several others were injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting a residential building. Additionally, a tragic incident occurred in Deir al-Balah, resulting in casualties and fatalities among civilians as an Israeli airstrike hit the Abu Dan family home.
Furthermore, a house near Kamal Adwan Hospital in the town of Beit Lahia, to the north, came under fire, adding to the growing humanitarian crisis.
