The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries have urged the international community to intervene and stop Israeli military violations against Palestinian civilians.
Today, the GCC Secretary-General, Jassem Mohammed Al-Badawi, strongly condemned the Israeli forces’ bombardment of the Al-Mawasi area in Khan Younis, Gaza Strip.
He described this attack as part of Israel’s ongoing and systematic series of crimes against the Palestinian people.
Al-Badawi emphasized that Israeli actions show a disregard for international principles, laws, and humanitarian norms.
He called on the global community to take immediate action to halt these violations and hold those responsible accountable for their actions.
Highlighting the GCC’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, Al-Badawi reaffirmed its stance on establishing an independent Palestinian state.
According to the GCC’s position, this state should be based on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in alignment with the Arab Peace Initiative and international legal frameworks.
The GCC’s statement underscores their commitment to advocating for Palestinian rights amidst the escalating tensions and violence in Gaza.
