The military wing of Hamas, known as the “Al-Qassam Brigades,” revealed in a statement on Thursday the number of Israeli military vehicles it has destroyed and disabled since October 7, 2023.
According to the statement by the Al-Qassam Brigades, “Since the beginning of the onslaught, we have succeeded in destroying and disabling more than 1,108 Israeli military vehicles.”
Among the vehicles mentioned are 962 tanks, 55 armored personnel carriers, 74 bulldozers, 3 excavators, and 14 military jeeps.
The statement highlights that the “Yassin 105” shell, priced at less than $500, is capable of destroying an Israeli “Merkava” tank, which costs over $6 million.
It further explains that the “Yassin 105” entered official production in 2018 and was utilized on October 7, 2023, at the start of the “Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.”
Meanwhile, the Israeli army continues its destructive war against the Gaza Strip for the 125th consecutive day, amidst severe shortages of food, water, medicine, and fuel, as well as a reduction in the number of functioning hospitals and medical centers providing services to the population.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that “the number of martyrs from the Israeli aggression has risen to 27,840 martyrs and 67,317 wounded since the start of the Israeli war on October 7, 2023.”
