Violent clashes have erupted in southwest Gaza between Palestinian resistance factions and the Israeli military since Friday morning, following the end of a ceasefire.
The Israeli occupation forces initiated bombing residential areas in the early hours after the truce ended. The conflict intensified in various areas of Gaza City, marking a significant escalation after a period of relative calm.
The situation remains tense, with the possibility of further confrontations as both sides continue their military activities. This development comes amidst growing concerns about the humanitarian impact on civilians in the region. On Friday, the Israeli military announced the resumption of hostilities against Hamas in the Gaza Strip, just minutes after the end of a seven-day ceasefire. Israeli aircraft and artillery launched attacks on various areas in northern, southern, and central Gaza, resulting in the preliminary death toll of 9 people in the Nuseirat camp and 9 in Rafah, as reported by Gaza’s Health Ministry.
