WhatsApp plans to launch a new feature called “redesigned floating action buttons” for Android users, WaBetaInfo reported, noting that the tool is not available for beta testers yet.
This aligns with the app’s objectives to redesign the entire application in accordance with the “Material Design 3” guidelines by bringing new updates regularly.
Furthermore, WhatsApp aims to evolve the floating action button that enables users to start a new chat quickly. This feature will be included in the “Material Design 3” guidelines.
The button looks like a square with rounded edges. This design will not only be applied to the action button but also for the buttons within the calls and status tabs.
Meta recently announced a number of Artificial Intelligence (AI) features for Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
It showed ChatGPT-like chatbots for Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp that can communicate using several personalities.
“Developments in generative AI over the previous year have now made it possible for the company to build the technology into every single one of our products,” Meta’s Chief Executive, Mark Zuckerberg, informed the employees.
