Egypt has initiated a humanitarian mission by opening the Rafah border crossing to receive and provide medical assistance to Palestinian casualties from Gaza.
According to Cairo News Channel, a fleet of Palestinian ambulances carrying numerous severely injured individuals arrived at the border, ready to transport them to Egyptian hospitals.
The news correspondent from Cairo revealed that 40 aid trucks have unloaded their supplies on the Palestinian side of the Rafah crossing.
Additionally, preparations are underway for 50 more trucks to enter the Palestinian territory to further the aid initiative.
Meanwhile, Egyptian ambulances are streaming into Gaza via the Rafah crossing, poised to transport critical Palestinian casualties into Egypt for essential medical treatment.
The correspondent from Rafah highlighted a significant presence of ambulance vehicles, prepared to transport the injured Palestinians to well-equipped Egyptian hospitals, ready to handle the influx of medical emergencies.
It was reported that over 40 ambulances were stationed at the Rafah crossing into Gaza, ready to receive around 80 critically injured individuals.
The efforts underline Egypt’s multi-faceted support for the residents of Gaza during these testing times.
The Cairo News Channel also captured the continuous flow of vehicles and trucks into Gaza, alongside the preparations made on the Egyptian side of the crossing to facilitate further relief aid into the region.
Sources informed the channel that the Rafah land crossing was opened on Wednesday to welcome a number of injured Palestinians for medical treatment.
