Mehdi Zeyghami, the head of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI) said a direct shipping line will be launched between Iran and Brazil, adding that the country’s commercial envoy to Brazil has been selected and will be deployed in São Paulo in the near future.
During a conference discussing trade prospects between Iran and Brazil, Zeyghami revealed that the Iranian Trade Development Organization has designed a specialized program to invigorate trade between Iran and Brazil.
This program entails dispatching Iran’s first commercial attaché to Brazil, marking a significant step as the first Iranian commercial attaché to Latin America.
Additionally, the program includes inaugurating a direct maritime route between the two countries and crafting a dedicated plan to facilitate the participation of Iranian companies in specialized exhibitions in Brazil, ensuring their support and protection.
During this meeting, the Iranian Ambassador addressed the audience via video conference, highlighting the exportation of technical and engineering services to Brazil as a fitting opportunity for Iranian companies.
He underlined that Brazil’s thriving economy necessitates increased supplies of oil, its derivatives, and petrochemical products. This, he stated, presents a suitable occasion for Iran, an advanced player in this sector.
