Iraqi President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid affirmed today that Iraq has regained its central and influential role in the region by bridging perspectives between neighboring and friendly countries. He highlighted Iraq’s efforts in fostering regional and international security, stability, and peace, as well as its support for joint economic and trade projects benefiting the region.
According to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), President Rashid made these remarks during a meeting at the Peace Palace in Baghdad with heads and representatives of Arab and Islamic diplomatic missions in Iraq. The meeting aimed to discuss enhancing relations, developing cooperation paths, and coordinating efforts between Iraq and their countries, emphasizing mutual interests and aspirations.
Rashid noted Iraq’s significance as an important investment environment, praising the Iraqi government’s steps in supporting investment and the private sector. Regarding regional developments, the Iraqi President stressed the necessity of halting aggression against Gaza and saving the Palestinian people facing grave humanitarian crimes, emphasizing that there can be no security or stability in the region without granting Palestinians their full rights and establishing their state on their land.
Ambassadors expressed their countries’ support for Iraq’s efforts in consolidating internal security and stability, acknowledging its vital role in the region. They affirmed their countries’ eagerness to strengthen ties and cooperation with Iraq across various fields.
