Israel bombed five shelters for displaced people in Gaza, killing and injuring dozens over the past 48 hours.
The Gaza Civil Defense announced Tuesday that it is unable to respond to distress calls due to the scale of the attacks and a lack of fuel for their equipment.
Health Ministry officials in Gaza reported that Israeli forces killed at least 24 Palestinians in three separate airstrikes on Gaza City early Tuesday.
Among the dead is the sister of Ismail Haniyeh, the political leader of Hamas.
Another airstrike on a home in the Beach Camp, one of Gaza’s historic refugee camps, killed 10 more people.
Relatives and medics said the targeted home belonged to the Haniyeh family.
Ismail Haniyeh, who resides in Qatar, lost a sister and other family members in the attack.
