The Observatory of Mediterranean Human Rights expressed grave concern over Israel’s recent shift towards forcibly evacuating the population of Gaza City.
This move is seen as part of an ongoing campaign of forced displacement and what is perceived as an ongoing genocide within the region since October 7th of last year.
The Mediterranean Human Rights Observatory has received reports documenting the Israeli army’s compulsion of Palestinian families, consisting mostly of women and children, to evacuate their homes and shelters they sought refuge in during the past Wednesday and Thursday.
These forced evacuations occurred following extensive military incursions into various areas of Gaza City, particularly in neighborhoods such as “Tel Al-Hawa,” “Ansar Square,” and “Sheikh Ajleen.” Families that remained in these areas were forcibly displaced.
The escalation of these actions is causing serious concern in the international community, raising questions about the humanitarian situation and the rights of the affected population.
The Mediterranean Human Rights Observatory is urging the international community to address these ongoing violations and provide assistance to those affected by these actions.
The situation in Gaza demands immediate attention and action to prevent further suffering and displacement.
