The Israeli Army has declared the death of a sergeant in the Gaza Strip, bringing its casualty count to 530, with 2,630 soldiers wounded since October 7.
The Israeli Army identified the deceased as 20-year-old Sergeant Uri Gerbi from Herzliya, a member of the Givati Brigade. Gerbi succumbed to injuries sustained on January 17 in southern Gaza. In addition, three soldiers suffered severe injuries.
According to the Israeli Army’s website, 530 soldiers have been killed since the conflict began, with 194 fatalities occurring during ground operations in Gaza.
The total number of injured soldiers is 2,630, including 1,546 with minor injuries, 686 with moderate injuries, and 398 with serious injuries.
Specifically, during the ground operation in Gaza, 1,178 soldiers were wounded, with 526 sustaining moderate injuries and 652 suffering severe injuries.
