Israeli occupation forces imposed a comprehensive closure on the West Bank provinces, causing disruptions to the movement and travel of Palestinian citizens.
Palestinian sources reported that Israeli occupation forces closed all entrances and exits to the southern West Bank province of Bethlehem. In Ramallah, located in the central West Bank and housing numerous Palestinian government ministries and institutions, Israeli occupation forces closed the military checkpoint at the northern entrance of the city, preventing the passage of civilians.
Israeli forces also set up a strict checkpoint at the western entrance of the village of Al-Mughayyir, east of Ramallah, and closed the eastern entrance of the village with earthen barriers. Similarly, the entrance to the village of Um Safa, north of Ramallah, was blocked with earthen barriers, and the iron gate at the entrance of Atara was closed, impeding the movement of Palestinian citizens.
In the West Bank village of Burqa, located east of Ramallah, Israeli occupation forces closed the western entrance with a strict military checkpoint, and the eastern entrance was blocked with earthen barriers, causing significant disruptions for Palestinian citizens.
In Jerusalem, Israeli occupation forces continued for the second day to close all military checkpoints in its vicinity. In Jenin and Nablus in the northern West Bank, Israeli occupation authorities closed the Salem, Jalama, and Hawara checkpoints, as well as all roads leading to major streets, amid a heavy presence of occupation forces.
In Hebron in the southern West Bank, Israeli occupation forces closed the Ibrahimi Mosque to worshippers and intensified their presence at all entrances leading to the mosque. They also closed some markets in the old town, tightened their security measures, and shut down all military checkpoints and electronic gates leading to the mosque.
In Tubas and the northern Jordan Valley, Israeli occupation forces closed the Hamra military checkpoint, preventing the movement of Palestinian citizens.
It should be noted that Israeli authorities had initially announced the opening of the Karameh crossing, which was scheduled from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, but later reversed their decision, restricting access to returning pilgrims only
