An Israeli citizen was killed in Qalqilya, the West Bank, today, Saturday, according to Israeli Channel 12, which reported that Israeli security forces have deployed in the area.
Channel 12 clarified that this morning, an Israeli citizen was found shot inside his car in the city of Qalqilya.
According to recordings from the scene of the incident, his car caught fire after the murder, and Israeli security forces conducted a search of the area.
The deceased’s body, whose identity as a settler or soldier was not specified by the channel, was transferred to an ambulance waiting at the nearby Post Office 422.
The Israeli police are assisting in investigating the incident, the circumstances of which remain unclear.
Later, the Palestinian news agency “WAFA,” citing local sources, reported that Israeli forces stormed Qalqilya city and deployed their vehicles in several locations, including Street 22 and the Soufin area.
WAFA stated that a young man was shot by Israeli army forces today, Saturday, following an incursion into the Jabriyat neighborhood in Jenin and the siege of a house.
The agency reported that the young man was shot with live ammunition after Israeli army forces besieged a house in the neighborhood, using loudspeakers to demand residents to come out, and preventing ambulance crews from reaching the area.
Special forces, supported by the army, infiltrated the neighborhood amid gunfire.
This incident adds to the ongoing tensions in the region, highlighting the volatile situation between Israeli security forces and Palestinian communities in the West Bank.
