The Jordanian Air Force reaffirmed on Friday its commitment to precautionary aerial sorties to prevent airspace violations amidst the escalating tensions in the region, marked by exchanges of attacks and airstrikes between Israel and Iran.
The Jordanian Minister of State for Media Affairs and Government Spokesperson emphasized the importance of Jordan’s efforts to prevent any trespassing on its borders or infringement of its sovereignty.
He reiterated that Jordan will not allow itself to become a battleground for any party, as reported by the semi-official Jordanian television channel.
The Government Spokesperson stated in a press release that no attempts to approach the Jordanian airspace were detected in the past hours.
He emphasized that the precautionary aerial sorties by the Air Force will continue in line with the assessments of the Jordanian Armed Forces.
The Spokesperson urged against the spread of rumors, reassuring the public that life continues normally without disruption.
He highlighted the government’s commitment to providing timely updates to both local and international media, referring to recent statements issued by the Jordanian Armed Forces regarding aerial sorties.
Regarding the aid sent to the Gaza Strip, the Spokesperson reiterated Jordan’s persistent call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the continued delivery and facilitation of aid to the region.
He noted Jordan’s ongoing efforts in sending aid, with over 280 trucks of food supplies entering Gaza in less than two weeks, in addition to airlifts to the region.
He underscored the urgency of halting the war immediately and restoring the path to peace and stability.
