Libyan Unity Government leader Abdel-Hamid Dbaiba welcomed European Union (EU) ambassadors to Libya at the Council of Ministers in Tripoli.
According to the media office of the Unity Government leader, the meeting focused on the latest political developments and the progress of reopening the remaining embassies in Libya.
Additionally, discussions were held to coordinate efforts for the upcoming Mediterranean Migration Forum, set to take place in Tripoli in mid-July, involving both African and EU countries.
During the meeting, there was a strong emphasis on supporting the United Nations Support Mission in Libya’s efforts to achieve elections under fair laws.
The ambassadors also expressed their support for the activation of municipal elections and praised the government’s initiatives in this regard.
The ambassadors commended the government’s efforts in addressing irregular migration, highlighting the importance of active European participation in the upcoming forum in Tripoli to mitigate this issue.
