The statement also highlighted discussions on joint efforts to combat irregular migration and announced plans to host an Italian-Libyan Economic Forum in Tripoli at the end of October. This event aims to bolster the private sectors of both nations.
Accompanying Prime Minister Meloni were Anna Maria Bernini, Minister of University and Research; Orazio Schillaci, Minister of Health; and Andrea Abodi, Minister of Sport and Youth. During the visit, they witnessed the signing of several declarations of intent pertaining to university cooperation, research, health, sports, and youth initiatives under the framework of the Mattei Plan for Africa.
