On Sunday, Lufthansa, the German airline group encompassing Lufthansa, Swiss, and Austrian Airlines, announced the suspension of flights to Amman, Erbil, and Tel Aviv until Tuesday.
Additionally, flights to Beirut and Tehran are halted at least until Thursday, in response to the escalating violence in the Middle East.
The decision, made in light of the recent unrest, reflects Lufthansa’s commitment to passenger safety.
The airline group stated that it is continuously assessing the security situation in the region and maintaining close communication with relevant authorities.
This move follows the company’s earlier announcement on Friday, suspending flights to and from Tehran until April 18 and refraining from utilizing Iranian airspace during this period.
