In a continued display of solidarity and support, Moldova has dispatched another batch of aid to Ukraine, valued at 1.2 million Moldovan lei, equivalent to over $67,000. This assistance includes essential electrical equipment vital for ensuring a reliable power supply, as reported by NewsMaker and Ukrinform.
On September 9, personnel from the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations embarked on a mission to deliver this aid to Ukraine. The aid allocation was made possible through the joint efforts of RED Nord and the state enterprise Moldelectrica.
Moldovan rescuers transported a range of electrical equipment to Khmelnytskyi, Ukraine, which encompasses cables, lighting fixtures, power transformers, various types of clamps, insulators, and other critical components required for maintaining electricity supply in the region.
The press service of the rescuers conveyed Moldova’s unwavering commitment to supporting Ukraine, emphasizing their continuous solidarity and assistance to the Ukrainian people during challenging times.
This recent endeavor adds to Moldova’s previous contributions of humanitarian aid to Ukraine, including assistance extended in response to the crisis triggered by the Nova Kakhovka dam’s destruction. In late August, Moldova supplied Ukraine with canned food, valued at 3.3 million Moldovan lei.
Moldova’s consistent support exemplifies the strength of regional collaboration and neighborly relations in times of need.
