The General Staff’s Main Intelligence Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces, known as the military intelligence agency, has disclosed that NATO has supplied Ukraine with about 800 tanks and over 30,000 drones.
In an article titled “NATO Activity as the Greatest Source of Military Threats to Russia,” published in the “Military Thought” magazine by the Russian Ministry of Defense, Igor Kostyukov, the Chief of the General Staff’s Main Directorate, highlighted NATO’s significant military contributions to Ukraine.
Apart from tanks and drones, NATO has delivered over 3,500 armored vehicles, around 1,500 artillery pieces, nearly 270 rocket launchers, 130 aircraft, helicopters, over 250 air defense systems, 7,700 portable anti-aircraft systems, and nearly 290,000 anti-tank systems to Ukraine since February 2022.
Kostyukov noted that NATO has invested over $132 billion in these supplies, with the United States contributing over $63 billion.
He emphasized NATO’s primary focus on providing Ukrainian forces with long-range, high-precision weapons to target critical Russian military sites deep within operational depths.
In this context, Kostyukov recalled that Britain, France, and the United States have supplied Ukraine with Storm Shadow and SCALP missiles with a range of about 650 kilometers, as well as ATACMS missiles with a range of about 300 kilometers.
Furthermore, there is mounting pressure on German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to approve the supply of Taurus missiles with a range of up to 500 kilometers.
Kostyukov pointed out that NATO countries will soon deliver F-16 aircraft to Ukraine.
The Chief of Russian Military Intelligence considers the greatest military threat from NATO to be the provision of military assistance to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, aimed at prolonging the conflict and causing maximum damage possible.
