Norway’s Foreign Minister Anniken Huitfeldt emphasized on Wednesday the critical need for the international community to continue providing financial assistance to the Palestinian people and institutions.
Serving as the chair of the international donor group for Palestinians, Huitfeldt urged the global community to sustain its financial support for the Palestinian population, as reported by Reuters.
This call for aid comes amid the ongoing Israeli aggression against Gaza and occupied territories, which has resulted in hundreds of Palestinian casualties, thousands of injuries, and widespread destruction of homes, properties, as well as public and private institutions.
The Israeli military launched “Operation Iron Swords” in response to “Operation Tempest of Al-Aqsa,” carried out by Palestinian resistance factions.
The latter operation, executed simultaneously through air, sea, and land, commenced in the early hours of last Saturday, targeting Israeli military sites, airports, and fortifications.
Norway’s stance underscores the significance of international aid in alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people amidst the current crisis.
It highlights the global responsibility to provide humanitarian support during these challenging times.
