Poland’s Interior Ministry has announced a 90-day ban on access to the border area adjacent to Belarus, starting from June 4.
The restrictions will apply to 27 villages in the Hajnowka and Bialystok regions bordering Belarus.

The move comes amid ongoing anti-immigration policies in Poland, where Polish forces have been reported to beat migrants and push them back across the Belarusian borders, sometimes resulting in migrant deaths.
Since 2021, 54 foreigners have died along the Belarusian borders with EU countries, including 25 at the Polish border, nine at the Lithuanian border, and 20 at the Latvian border.
