In a meeting with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdolahian discussed the latest developments in Palestine, emphasizing the urgent need to capitalize on the remaining political opportunities to halt the conflict in Gaza.
Amirabdollahian expressed gratitude for Qatar’s steadfast support for the oppressed Palestinian nation while cautioning against the unpredictable consequences of Zionist war crimes in Gaza, backed by the US and certain European governments.
The Iranian diplomat called on Islamic nations to take unified and practical stances to end Israeli atrocities against Palestinians and lift the siege on Gaza. He asserted that resistance groups would not wait for advice and stressed the importance of utilizing the last political opportunities to prevent further escalation, warning that no party would be immune from the consequences if the situation spiraled out of control.
Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani conveyed warm greetings to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi. He condemned the Zionist regime’s atrocities in Gaza as unacceptable and intolerable, citing global demonstrations against these crimes as a manifestation of widespread disdain.
Emphasizing Qatar’s commitment to ending Israeli attacks on Gaza, the Qatari Emir pledged continued efforts to address the ongoing crisis. Amirabdolahian’s visit to Qatar, part of a regional tour that also includes Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon, aims to discuss developments in Palestine and seek solutions to prevent further loss of life due to the Zionist regime’s actions.
