A Russian oil tanker with 11 crew members on board has been hit in an attack near Crimea in the Black Sea, according to Russian officials.
The incident occurred in the Kerch Strait, and the vessel’s engine room suffered damage in the overnight strike. Fortunately, no injuries were reported among the crew.
While Russia has confirmed the attack on Saturday, Ukraine has not publicly commented on the incident.
However, a source from the Ukrainian security service informed the BBC that a sea drone had been used in the attack.
This marks the second attack in as many days involving such weapons in the region.
The previous day, there was another attack, but Russia did not acknowledge any damage caused during that incident.
