On Thursday, Russia announced its forces had taken control of Berdychi, a village in Ukraine’s Donetsk region.
According to a statement from the Russian Defense Ministry, the Center group of troops “completely liberated the settlement of Berdychi in the Donetsk People’s Republic” due to proactive military actions.
The ministry also reported ongoing heavy combat along the front line, noting that Russian forces have managed to enhance their positions in certain areas.
Furthermore, the ministry detailed that since the start of Russia’s “special military operation” in Ukraine, its forces have neutralized 23,673 unmanned aerial vehicles, 509 anti-aircraft missile systems, 15,898 tanks and other armored vehicles, 1,277 multiple rocket launchers, 9,246 field artillery pieces and mortars, and 21,441 other vehicles.
